When I left the South Bay this evening, I was stunned that I could see flames from the Station Fire all the way in Carson, California.
As I traveled down the EB-SR91, I could see flames from the base of the mountain all the way to the top. I've never seen anything like it.
I couldn't believe that I could see the fires from Cerritos, California. Even more unbelievable, was that I could see them from the Beach Boulevard over-crossing in Buena Park, California (Orange County).
Google Maps estimates its over 30 miles.
